Postdoc in Social Sciences

The University of Amsterdam is advertising for a postdoctoral researcher for a project on "New social inequalities and political realignments". The position is financed by the interdisciplinary Research Focal Point "Institutions and Inequality: Stratification, Politics, and Living Arrangements", which is a collaboration of Sociology (prof. Herman van de Werfhorst), Political Science (prof. Wouter van der Brug), Demography (prof. Clara Mulder) and Educational Sciences (prof. Sjoerd Karsten). the Group also collaborates with the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (prof. Harry Ganzeboom and prof. Aat Liefbroer). For this particular position we recruit someone with a background in political science or (political) sociology.


The position is offered for two or three years, depending on the progression of work and continuation of funding. The starting date is as soon as possible, but not later than the summer of 2010. See this link for further information:
