New Radical Thought

"In the government’s latest effort to bolster China’s Social Management campaign, Peking University’s Communist Party Committee has announced plans to instate a screening program in May that would identify and take measures to correct students prone to having “radical thoughts.” The health screening and consultation process requires that all students be screened and pass a ten-point checklist to help those suffering from a range of problems including psychological fragility, “radical thoughts”, poverty, and internet addiction. According to university officials, the program’s main goal is to help students finish school, “achieve an all-around and healthy development,” and “create an environment for healthy growth.”"
